The Artful Dodger
Nicely Dances Around Real Issue
Sector Chief: Border control is multifaceted
Sierra Vista Herald -- February 27
"It's not going to happen overnight, and setting a timetable for getting control will be counterproductive," the Border Patrol's Tucson Sector chief said.
American Patrol: The Border Patrol is designed to fail in a way that Americans can't figure out why. They defeat any attempt to measure how well they're doing. In three months the Hermes UAV spotted 853,000 border crossers. They are now dancing away from UAVs because they got too close to exposing just how bad things are. "Not only will Border Patrol management not allow a real evaluation of how well they're doing, they are now taking time out of the equation as well," said Glenn Spencer of American Patrol. "This is total deception," he added.

The artful dodger -- "If you can't measure it, you can't improve it."
