Off to a Good Start
Managers of the Minuteman Project are off to a good start with careful screening of volunteers and excellent security measures at the home base, reports Glenn Spencer of American Border Patrol. "This project is off to a good start," Spencer said.
According to press reports the first contact between Minutemen and border crossers was positive. According to the Arizona Daily Star "Minuteman Project volunteers helped an illegal entrant in distress late Friday. The incident was the first documented encounter between the volunteers and Mexican nationals sneaking across the border, officials said."
