Pilgrim:
In 2005, 1.2 million illegal aliens caught by the Border Patrol,
165,000 were from countries other than Mexico, 650 from special
interest countries, special interest countries being countries
that have terrorism links. Were you surprised at the magnitude
of this problem?
McCaul: Not terribly surprised, but very disturbed by
the findings. ...Human trafficking, as you mentioned, the other
than Mexican special alien concern has tripled since September
11.... I think the thing that keeps all of us up late at night
in the Congress is -- God forbid -- these routes are used for
weapons of mass destruction to come across our border.
