Huge Gaps in Border Fence Leave U.S. Vulnerable

American Border Patrol
The need to
complete the mandates of the Secure
Fence Act of 2006 was clearly demonstrated by photographs
taken by American Border Patrol on Monday. A group of nine
people was spotted by ABP during an Operation
B.E.E.F. mission. About 11 miles
east an SUV was spotted on a mountain
trail.
"These people may have been dropped
off so they could take a five-mile hike down to highway 289,"
said Glenn Spencer of ABP. "This isn't much more than a
walk in the park," he added. Spencer said there are hundreds
of miles of similarly unprotected border.
