C-SPAN-- September 27
Sen. Max Baucus (D-MT): You work for the government and you've
got to protect yourself and all your answers have to be couched
in all sorts of words, generalities and so forth. I understand
that, but it's also very frustrating. Here we are in the Congress
trying to get some specific answers and you're frankly protecting
yourself. We're protecting our citizens and we need some specific
answers to do that and you've not been very specific to be honest.
You've been avoiding a lot of questions that have been asked.
You avoided Senator Salazar's questions, you avoided Senator
Snow's questions, you avoided my questions. Frankly, your testimony
has not been satisfactory. It's not been candid. I don't get
the sense that you really care about this. |
