ABP Challenges Tucson Citizen Report

    It was entitled "Fence tailored to border needs," and it was written by Blake Morlock. Now, American Border Patrol challenges the report in a letter- to- the- editor of the Tucson Citizen. In it, ABP challenges the numbers used by the paper, including its claim that 103 miles of new "fencing" have been built in the Tucson Sector. "I am glad that the media are starting to report on progress on the border," said Glenn Spencer of ABP, "Now let's work on getting the facts straight."
    ABP reports that only 14.8 miles of new fencing has been completed in the Tucson Sector, not 103 miles, but that it uses a definition of fencing different from the Tucson Citizen.
