On Lou Dobbs Tonight, DHS head Napolitano said: "You would close the border if you thought you could contain disease -- the spread of the disease, but the disease already is in a number of states within the United States so the containment issue doesn't really play out. And this particular flu, you can actually have it for a couple of days before you show any symptoms."
So why even screen people at the border?
The World Health Organization was "not recommending any travel restrictions" with respect to the possible pandemic. Yet, the EU is advising against travel to the U.S. and Mexico, and the U.S. is advising against "non-essential" trips to Mexico.
Who is right?
Janet Napolitano, a proven incompetent says we shouldn't try to stop a deadly disease from crossing the border, and the World Health Organization, says we can go to Mexico and pick it up ourselves. It seems that we can have home delivery or drive-through.
Should Americans trust their health in the hands of people like Napolitano or WHO head, Margaret Chan, from the People's Republic of China? Or should they demand that our government err on the side of safety and seal the border with Mexico?
