Border remains out of control

American Border Patrol reports that the Border Patrol was involved in a high-speed chase just north of the border in Naco, Arizona between 4:45 and 5:05 pm MST. A southbound vehicle was heading for the Mexican border on Naco Highway, with the BP giving chase. Spike strips were deployed but the vehicle continued south, at one point trying to run over a BP agent. One BP vehicle was wrecked but no BP injuries were reported. Shots may have been fired from the Mexican side of the border. As of 5:05 pm Mountain Time no word had been received as to the outcome.
