| The fence can work This photo of new border fencing just west of American Border Patrol's border ranch demonstrates that a properly designed fence can work. The area north of the fence is not being used to graze cattle, but the area to the south is. The trails you see are not cattle trails, they are people trails. You can't see them south of the fence because there is very little grass to stamp down. This is the area where ABP's border cam was used to aid in the apprehension of more than 1500 people in less than six months. Since the fence went in ABP knows of no one that has crossed. The fence is 18-feet high and is made of steel beams. |
