Propaganda Update -- The Cronkite School of Journalism

As I read the story about remittances to Mexico in the Yuma Sun, it smacked of what I call a "compassion smart bomb." By that I mean the story is specifically designed to tell compelling stories about Mexican migrant's plight resulting from the enforcement of our immigration laws so Americans will feel sorry for the illegals and Mexico. Never mind that this invasion of our land is due to a Mexican plan of "Reconquista" and total Mexican corruption.

At the end of the story I noticed this...

EDITOR'S NOTE: This story is part of "Divided Families," an in-depth reporting project by advanced students in Arizona State University's Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication, supported by a grant from the Howard G. Buffett Foundation.

It was the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism that sent a couple of "journalists" down to visit American Border Patrol . They said they wanted to find out why ABP was listed as a hate group by the Southern Poverty Law Center. Nothing ever came of their visit as far as press coverage is concerned. Apparently their dirt-digging hands came up empty.

Now we see that the Cronkite School is funded by the Howard G. Buffett Foundation. These are the same people who fund the Florence Immigrant and Refugee Rights Project. As shown on their Web site,

"the Florence Project a nonprofit legal service organization that provides free legal services to men, women and children detained by the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE)..."

So we see a foundation that is supporting the rights of illegal aliens is also funding the "Divided Families" project at the Cronkite School.

Americans must be aware that they are the target of a well-organized propaganda machine designed to dissuade them from demanding that the government enforce our immigration laws.
