Most Favored Hostile Nation
February 19, 2004
Many Americans were shocked to learn about Mexican fans booing "The Star-Spangled Banner" and shouting "Osama, Osama!" during the recent soccer Olympic qualifying games when the U.S. team won with Canada in Zapopan (see [1]) and, later on, when it lost to Mexico in Guadalajara (see [2]). Those who haven't paid attention to demographic confrontation between Mexico and the U.S. must have been surprised. Here comes the Mexican nation that would have perished or gone broke several times now (see [3], [4] and [5] for but a few examples) if it weren't for America's assistance and strength of her economy, a pet nation of our ruling elites that is cherished by the mainstream media, and yet the Chicanos can hardly miss a chance of showing their open hostility towards the country they voted (with their feet) superior to their own.
For those who did pay attention to American-Mexican relations, though, the recent eruption of anti-American hostilities on Mexican stadiums did not come as a surprise. Things like this were happening in the past (see [6]) and on American soil (see [7]), not just in Mexico. As a matter of fact, there has been a pattern here. According to various polls (see [8] for and example), a vast majority of Mexicans consider Southwestern U.S. as their "historic land" and they can't wait to send all the "Anglos" back to Europe (see [9]). They treat the benefits they draw of our most technologically advanced society as it were the interest on our "stealing their land" and, instead of being grateful, want the "whole enchilada" back. Their chauvinistic organizations like MEChA, La Raza, and others, saturate minds of their compatriots with insurrectionary rhetoric right here in America. One must be really naive or blind to not see what they are trying to say with their fists in air, terrorist-style masked faces (see [10]), and KKK symbolics (visit [11] to see a cross-like sign burning and violence promoting "lyrics").
The question that begs to be asked is: What interest do we, Americans, have in letting (tens of) millions of militant Mexicans into our country or in legalizing millions who are "already here" illegally? President Bush seems to pretend that the problem does not exist and stubbornly keeps pushing for his "temporary guest worker program" despite the facts and common sense. Make no mistake, "W" is not a fool. He has goals and objectives of his own and implements them with quite remarkable success (so far). The problem is that what's good for him and for those who fill his political coffers with hefty contributions is not good for America anymore. For otherwise he would have not bestowed on Mexico, so obviously anti-American and hostile nation, all the special favors and privileges that he denies, and - perhaps - rightly so, to other much friendlier countries (see [12] for a recent example).
Mexicans use easy to decipher language in which they encourage each other to unite against the U.S. and to pre-empt from us half of our country (call it a hostile takeover). If we are nice to them and pretend we don't see what their real intentions are, our goodwill will have only two visible effects. It will make them even stronger and more arrogant in their grudges and demands. It will also make them laugh of us for our naiveté and a lack of will to defend our nation against their "peaceful" invasion. As much as they may like our $$, which they use to continue with their demographic expansion and fighting against us, they think of us as gutless jerks who don't deserve America. Helping them with their "migration" to the U.S. will make their agenda of conquering us just a little bit easier. Those merciful do-gooders who feel sorry about the misery that Mexicans suffer from in their native country may wish to take a note of it.
