Walter Moore for Mayor of Los Angeles
Walter Moore's TV Ads: No Chickens Were Harmed -- Except Villaraigosa
By Walter Moore -- February 18, 2009
The election is less than two weeks away, and it's time to launch our secret weapon: TV commercials about how and why Villaraigosa is too chicken to debate me. "Operation Polloraigosa" begins today.
You can see the ads right now. You need not wait for me to show up at your door with an enthusiastic knock and a portable DVD player. Here are the YouTube links for all three:

Now the whole city -- not just those of us who regularly read Steve Lopez's column and listen to Doug McIntyre, Kevin James and Terry Anderson -- will know that Villaraigosa is afraid to debate me.
More importantly, our fellow citizens will know why Villaraigosa is afraid to debate me, and they will know they can upgrade their Mayor on March 3. The commercials aren't just funny; they detail a few of Villaraigosa's obscene failures as Mayor.
Speaking of TV commercials, remember: we don't have to reach everyone in the city to win. Based on previous elections, 96.5% of L.A.'s four million residents will pay no attention whatsoever to this "insignficant" election. We can win this election outright on March 3, without a run-off, if we just SHOW UP and get as many as our friends and neighbors to do likewise as we can.
Indeed, this election could hinge on 50 votes in your neighborhood. If you think that's hyperbole, I've got three words for you: Senator Al Franken. He won by, what, 200 votes out of two million cast?
So how about downloading my flyer today, right now, and handing them out to five, 10 or 50 people who don't alreay know about me? Here's the link for the flyer: http://ftpmoore.com/flyer1bw.pdf .
(If you have trouble opening it, you need to get the new version of Adobe Acrobat Reader, which you can get here: http://www.adobe.com/products/reader/ .)
Finally, let me thank: the volunteers who contributed their very valuable time and expertise to put together these TV outstanding commercials; the supporters who have contributed their hard-earned after-tax dollars to my campaign so we can broadcast the ads; and those of you who are spending your precious time handing out flyers, waving yard signs and otherwise taking action to fix our city.
We're doing this, people. We're going to save L.A. The bad guys will never know what hit them.
