Arnold will win, McClintock
Missed Chance
Despite desperate attempts by the
criminal Los Angeles Times to destroy him, Arnold Schwarzenegger
will be the next governor of California. Gov. Gray Davis couldn't
even fill seats at a major rally in Los Angeles.
As Terry Anderson warned, failing to make illegal
immigration his principle issue (or an issue at all), Tom McClintock
will likely fade into history. Eventually, the Mexican Invasion
must be dealt with and, when that happens, real heroes will surface. |

A high-speed chase Saturday morning ended

a dozen others fleeing from authorities. --- Authorities say
it looks like up to 17 illegal immigrants squeezed themselves

Aims For America's New Ruling Race
If recent polls on the California gubernatorial
race are at all accurate, Lt. Gov. Cruz
Bustamante will not win the election, but he will certainly
come closer than most other candidates. That's because Mr. Bustamante
enjoys an advantage most other candidates, including the (still)
likely winner, Arnold Schwarzenegger, don't-namely racial solidarity.

Immigration
issues resonate beyond California
For the most part, today's California
recall election is too zany to warrant serious political analysis.
You want to assume that it's a once-in-a-lifetime example of
Left Coast craziness. -- But there is one angle to the recall
story that bears scrutiny: the role of Hispanic voters. I say
that having just read a Census Bureau report that details the
startling growth of Hispanics in much of the South... |

Finding a Place in a 'City of Immigrants' (New York)
...Although the city's earliest Mexican
immigrants date back to the 1920s, their numbers have been booming
in recent decades, tripling since 1980. In the 2000 U.S. Census,
the population was counted at 187,000. Many experts believe the
real figure may be closer to 300,000 - and they expect it to
double in 10 years... |

Double
Standard
All of the sudden, Gray Davis became
a staunch and uncompromising defender of the law. "The authorities
should do their job," Davis said. "They should review
all the facts. Upon the completion of that review, if they think
a crime was committed, then they should follow their oath of
office." |

Discovers There's No Free Lunch
...The constant flow of millions of immigrants,
mostly illegal, has insured that Americans will no longer do
