Illegal
immigration calls into question equal representation
Most Americans assume that the election
of the House of Representatives is based fairly on the geographic
distribution of our population. -- But if that's true, then how
come after the constitutionally mandated reapportionment of 2000
it takes only 35,000 votes in a California district to win a
House seat, while it takes 100,000 votes to win a House seat
in Indiana, Michigan or Mississippi? |

...[Glenn] Spencer said Napolitano is
wrong to meet with a foreign head of state with part of her agenda
being to develop a test guest-worker program. He said that it
is "the responsibility of the federal government, not a
state government." -- Illegal immigration will not stop
until the United States takes back control of the border instead
of allowing Mexico to dictate what is to be done, Spencer said.

trouble speaking out against illegal immigration. The idea was
that even if illegal immigrants felt welcomed they'd eventually
vote Republican. To oppose immigration, even illegal immigration,
was thought to be a hindrance to winning the Hispanic vote....

As of Halloween 2003 night, major California
fires had burned 739,906 acres, killed 20 people and destroyed

job rather than bureaucratically following wishful thinking policies...

York Legislator Proposes Driver's Licenses for Illegals
[Scroll down to find this commentary]
-- Why is it necessary to keep Illegal Aliens from getting drivers'
licenses? It is important to remember that in the United States,
a driver's license is more than permission to drive. It is the
most common proof of identity used by Americans on a regular
basis. It also infers that its' holder has the legal right to
be in the country.... |
