Driver's
licenses for illegal aliens
The Tribune was correct on one thing
in its Nov.
3 editorial "Rules of the road"; it is an issue
that makes people's "blood boil." -- The Tribune seems
to forget that an amnesty was granted in 1986, allowing people
who had been living and working in this country illegally to
become citizens.... |

Re:

In addition to its irresponsible rulers, "Mexico's
Burden" is the United States because of our ignorant
complicity in Mexican corruption. Living next to a rich and permissive
neighbor has made Mexico's dissolute ruling class even lazier.
Why should Mexico's rich pay taxes to invest in infrastructure
and education.... |

Pulse: What would you tell President Fox?
He [Vicente
Fox] needs to concentrate on the Mexican economy and not
expect the United States to provide jobs, education, and health
care for his citizens. He seems more focused on what this country
can do for his people than on what Mexico can and should do for
its people. -- He creates more problems at home and abroad when
he relies on an external source to fix and repair the Mexican
economy.... |
