The
American Resistance
From the responses that I have received
it is evident that the concept of patriotism is not as absent
in the hearts of the readers of this space as it seems to be
in most of our leaders. I am humbled by, and grateful for, the
thousands of encouraging e-mails that have come to me from all
parts of our country, and from all occupations and backgrounds
concerning the thoughts expressed here.... |

Rescue's practice of rounding up immigrants at gunpoint got
attention the way no petition ever could. It forced the Government
to increase the number of border agents, from 3000 to 10,000
in less than six years, and to fortify the border with increased
patrols, iron fences, night-vision cameras and spotlights. And
the immigrants who were harassed are getting redress through
the US courts. |

Gwinnett County has one of the highest

Democrats And Rejected Republicans Unite!
My single-issue anti-immigration candidacy
for California Governor in the recent Recall Gray Davis election
ran into one unanticipated problem. -- I ran as a Democrat. I
am a (moderate) Democrat. -- But many Republicans-although they
applauded my immigration stance-recoiled in disgust. -- I was
immediately lumped in with the "crazy tax and spend liberals." |

Coyotes
grow more violent
Phoenix -- Authorities made the discovery
just before Thanksgiving: Three bodies all men, all slain
were found west of this desert boomtown, near a pile of
cow bones. All had been shot and left shoeless in the green-gray
brush. -- It was another dark turn in what federal officials
say has become the nation's hub of immigrant smuggling. |

Immigration
system taking us for a wild ride
On the matter of illegal immigrants getting
driver's licenses, I am having a hard time getting past one word
-- "illegal.'' --- I want to be fair and compassionate,
and so I am struggling with this issue. My first reaction is
to ask why we should reward those who break our laws.
