San Francisco Supervisor Matt
Gonzalez told The Chronicle editorial board last week that
he liked to think Proposition F -- a measure he helped put on
the city ballot that would allow noncitizens to vote in San Francisco
school board elections -- was "an interesting issue to take
up in a post- Sept. 11 world." The implication here is that
the rest of America became xenophobic after the Sept. 11 attacks... |

the Pima County Board of Health and the Pima County Medical Society
yesterday to warn there could be public health consequences if
voters approve Proposition

Illegal
immigration is scandal of epic size
A few citizens and members of the press
recently were distressed that the Gilbert Town Council would
not violate federal law and codify the matricula consular card,
fearing this showed support for the Protect
Arizona Now initiative. -- Well, illegal immigration
advocates and PAN opponents might think twice if they realized
that the illegal immigration crisis and the Abu Ghraib prison
abuse was caused by the exact same thing. |

Washington -- The U.S. has not learned
the real lessons of 9-11, say insiders in law enforcement and
intelligence agencies who say domestic politics, not national
security concerns, are driving anti-terror policies. --- For
instance, a maverick FBI source points out that Osama bin Laden's
hijackers penetrated U.S. borders by taking advantage of the
State Department's "courtesy culture program." |

Obviously the U.S-Mexico border should

the country legally. -- Gaining control of our borders
also means making it impossible for illegals to find work in
