Mexicans keep close eye on U.S. vote
Mexico City -- As the U.S. presidential
election nears, Mexicans are watching closely, many of them concerned
about the impact it may have on their country. -- For many Mexicans,
analysts say, the key question is which candidate, President
Bush or Sen. John Kerry, can best deliver long-awaited immigration
changes that would allow Mexican workers to cross borders legally. |

'Forum'
on invasion inflames passions
More than 100 people gathered at a Hilton
Head school Tuesday night to discuss illegal immigrants and their
impact on the Lowcountry. -- But "free" speech was
checked at the door. -- Citizens for a Better Community said
they paid to rent the auditorium, had a limited amount of time
to present their information and would not allow outraged Hispanics
to respond to their claims that immigrants have stolen jobs,
ruined affordable housing... |

The
buck never stops with George W. Bush
There's a principle of leadership
that holds that one can always delegate authority, but one can
never delegate responsibility. In other words, if you're the
boss you're responsible for what happens on your watch. The buck
is supposed to stop with you. This principle of leadership appears
to be alien to George W. Bush and the assorted clowns, neocons,
sycophants, preppies and other phonies... |

Issue Explodes: Invaders charged in gang rape had valid licenses
Three weeks ago, seven men were charged
with gang raping a woman in Huntersville. Most people probably
don't associate Governor Mike Easley and the Division of Motor
Vehicles with the crime, but there is a connection. -- All seven
men charged in the rape have two critical things in common. All
are illegal aliens... |

Shutting
down 'Highway 101'?
American Border Patrol ran a mission Thursday
evening to check out how well the new Border Patrol camera towers
were working. Posting a Tac Ops team near the tower, ABP observed

"Highway 101" because of the high volume of illegal
alien traffic... |

Questions
surround guest-worker idea
President
Bush insists the country needs a guest-worker program that
"matches willing foreign workers with willing American employers"
in order to fix the country's broken immigration system. -- Several
lawmakers agree and have offered guest-worker programs for Congress
to consider. Even Democratic nominee Sen.
John Kerry backs the idea of creating a limited guest-worker
plan... |

Opponents of Arizona's immigration initiative

Re:

To the Editor of the Sierra Vista

Kyl to admit that he supports amnesty for illegal aliens.
He says that deporting them is "unrealistic." Sounds
a lot like Assa Hutchinson... |

Day
labor nuisance arrests not tied to illegals drive
Prince William County police said yesterday
that recent arrests of day laborers in Woodbridge had nothing
to do with a crackdown on illegal immigrants. -- "This was
purely a community maintenance issue," said Capt. Tim Rudy.
"To us, this was not a day laborer issue or an immigration
issue. It was a group of county people breaking a county ordinance."

Elections Are Vulnerable to Non-Citizen Voting Fraud
A senior researcher at the Federation
for American Immigration Reform (FAIR) has for some time been
reviewing the likely voting fraud problems which will accompany
the coming elections next week. -- His conclusions and that of
many other experts who have done similar inquiries are ominous:
Without doubt, U.S. elections are very vulnerable to non citizen
voting fraud. |

Justice
to monitor voting in 25 states
The Justice Department yesterday said
it will send out 1,090 federal poll watchers to monitor elections
in 25 states, three times as many as in 2000, as Democrats and
Republicans squabbled in an escalating war of words over potential
voter fraud and intimidation. -- Meanwhile, [FAIR] yesterday
warned that little is being done to protect against non-U.S.
citizens' casting what could be the deciding votes. |

Prop 200 Nears Election Day
Another example of the Republic's
determination to "hush-up" anything negative about
illegal immigration was a title assigned in their October 22
issue: "Migrants' van driver shot by lawman."

title, "Smugglers' van driver shot by Border Patrol..." |

McCain trolls Nogales, whines about Prop. 200
...[Sen. John] McCain (RINO-Az) said
he is opposed to Proposition
200, which will be on Tuesday's ballot. -- "It's a manifestation
of the frustration many of our citizens of Arizona feel about
the problems of illegal immigration, including a border that's
not secure. -- "We cannot reward them, but we cannot plan
mass shipments of people out of this country," McCain said.
