Watergate? No, "BorderGate"
|
Last Thursday, ABP's Mike Christie was assaulted with a deadly weapon. The "weapon" a truck, crossed into the U.S. through "gate," shown in the photo to the right and here. This gate, well known to the Border Patrol, is disguised to look as if the barbed wire is intact. It isn't and the Border Patrol knows it. This isn't Watergate, it is Bordergate.
This kind of "gate" is common all along the border. In fact, there is another one about ¼ mile to the east of this "gate." See this photo. Americans would be shocked to learn of this gross negligence on our border but unless something is done, it is unlikely they will.
This fall ABC TV will air a special called "Border Security USA." It is billed as puff-piece propaganda for the DHS. ABC will spend millions on it. These "gates" will not be shown. We think they should be.
American Border Patrol is planning its own video, the working title of which is "Border Truth USA." It will be ready for public viewing in September. With archival video from two years of border surveillance, the video, "Border Truth USA," will show exactly what our government is doing to protect the border, and what it isn't.
ABP is in a unique position to produce this video. Two years ago, we produced the documentary, "The U.S. Border Patrol: How It Works and Why It Doesn't." Click here to read more....
