"Speak your truth quietly and clearly"
It took many years of hard work and determination, but the job of unseating Rep. Chris Cannon has been done. Cannon had the support of President Bush and the Republican Washington establishment. Yet, he was defeated. How? Because of the hard work of many, including:
Phyllis Sears of Ivins, Utah
Years ago, long before it was acceptable, Phyllis (UC Berkeley) and her husband Bob (West Point) stood front and center against illegal immigration in Utah.
Project USA
Their billboards made a difference.
UFIRE
UFIRE was founded in 2003 to bring attention to Utah’s liberal immigration policies, supported by Canon and its members have supported Cannon’s opponents during each election. Chaffetz personally thanked the group for paving the way for his victory.
Numbers USA
Roy Beck exposed Cannon’s voting record and is positioned to expose others.
Glenn Spencer has worked with Phyllis and Bob Sears for nearly ten years and has spoken before a number of groups in St. George. |
