Fence Fails at Naco
We Need a Whistleblower
American Patrol Report -- November 2
U.S. Border Patrol agents apprehend a group of illegal aliens just east of the San Pedro River on Highway 92.

This morning while on patrol of the border, Glenn Spencer spoke briefly with a U.S. Border Patrol agent. "Things pretty quiet?" Spencer asked the agent. "Yes, it's quiet here, but not at Naco," the agent replied.
The agent was confirming something that Spencer and others who live on the border in this area see every day. Where an effective fence was built, such as along the border near the American Border Patrol ranch, few if people cross illegally. To the east of the San Pedro River toward Naco, Arizona the fence changes to a shorter, less robust type that is easily crossed or cut. As a result residents see the Border Patrol chasing or rounding people almost every time they drive along Route 92 that parallels the border.
"The story is the same all along the border," Spencer said, "Where a properly designed fence was installed apprehensions of illegal aliens drops significantly." Spencer says that the government has the data to back him up but they won't release it. "I hope someday someone in the Department of Homeland Security will have the guts to blow the whistle on this mess," he said.
