Obama Goes Nativist: 'The Border Crossed Them'
Offering comments on behalf of outgoing Secretary of the Interior Ken Salazar Wednesday, President Obama suggested the Hispanic Cabinet member is more authentically American than New England's Pilgrims.
"His ancestors were here before the Mayflower set sail," Obama noted.
Obama talked about Salazar's (pictured, left) Spanish roots and segued from that to focus on how hard he's "working to get immigration reform passed."

The Meaning of Marxism: "The border crossed us"
"We didn't cross the border, the border crossed us." This slogan of the immigrant rights movement expresses an historical fact -- that much of the Western U.S. was once part of Mexico.
Red DotAmerican Patrol Report Comment
By invoking the phrase, "The border crossed them," Barack Obama once again makes it clear that he supports the Reconquista's claim that the Southwest was stolen from Mexico and that Mexicans have a right to take it back.
But what's new? He named Antonio Villaraigosa to be Chairman of the Democrat National Convention – the guy who joined with the President of Mexico to strip Californian's of the right to stop paying for illegal Mexicans – thus assuring Mexico's takeover of the state.
Barack Obama is backing Mexico in its a demographic war against the United States. Judging from the response by Congress, there is a good chance it will succeed in la Reconquista, "without the firing of a single shot."

Matloff: here is not a shortage of STEM workers, there's a glut
Dr. Norm Matloff writes to his email list: Nice piece by Ross Eisenbrey the other day, of the "emperor has no clothes" variety: America's Genius Glut, NY Times, February 7, 2013 -- Very tightly reasoned, a compelling argument to anyone with an open mind. -- On that latter score, a journalist told me just today that all of her colleagues buy into the notion of a STEM shortage. They ought to know better...

7 reasons Obama's amnesty for under 30 illegals is terrible policy
1) It's illegal: Since there are currently no work permits for illegal aliens, handing them out would require a change in the existing law. If this were a dictatorship like North Korea or Cuba, Dear Leader Barack Obama could simply issue a decree and change the law. Here in America we're a republic which means that he unquestionably, uncontroversially cannot issue work permits for illegal aliens without a bill...

"The Ranch" -- Mexican staging area
The US Border Patrol is well aware staging areas in Mexico where people gather before heading north across the border. For example, one such place is called "The Ranch." No doubt the Mexican government knows about it. (We do too but will withhold location.) For example, yesterday, a CBP aircraft spotted 50 people staging at "The Ranch." ABP has spotted other staging areas as well.
