Ninety Percent of What?
Corker fails to show how to count border crossers
Feature Photo
Contact Corker --- ask him how we count border crossers.
Glenn Spencer – American Border Patrol -- June 24
The Senate is about to pass an immigration law that guarantees that the border will be secure with an effectiveness rate of 90 percent or greater.
The effectiveness rate is defined in the bill as follows:
    4) EFFECTIVENESS RATE.—The "effectiveness rate", in the case of a border sector, is the percentage calculated by dividing the number of apprehensions and turn backs in the sector during a fiscal year by the total number of illegal entries in the sector during such fiscal year.

I have scoured the entire bill and cannot find where the "total number of illegal entries" is defined - or how to measure it.
If you can't measure it, you can't improve it.
    Here we go again.

Reid, Heller slip Las Vegas tourism handout into amnesty bill
Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) and Sen. Dean Heller (R-NV) have inserted a provision that amounts to little more than a handout to Las Vegas casinos into the repackaged immigration reform bill, Breitbart News has learned. This provision, a brazen example of crony capitalism, was inserted into the immigration law enforcement section of the bill despite the fact that it has nothing whatsoever to do with "immigration" or "law enforcement."

Like it or not, immigration treason
By the time you read this, it may already have been voted upon and settled, just waiting for the magic signature of the man in the Oval Office – or, in other words: "The Great Oz" gets what he wants again, and the people be damned. -- The country, too. -- It's euphemistically called "immigration reform," but in reality it's a massive sell-out of the United States to Third World illegals who have taken advantage of our laxity, stupidity, liberal racial guilt and the death-wish of the Democratic Party to gain political power...

Senate invokes cloture on horrible amnesty scheme; 15 Republicans vote with Dems
On Monday, the Senate overwhelmingly voted 67-27 to invoke cloture on an amendment to the sweeping immigration bill many say amounts to amnesty. Fifteen Republicans voted with Democrats to end debate and advance the measure to a full vote of the Senate. -- Republicans Saxby Chambliss, Johnny Isakson, Mike Lee, and Mike Enzi, and Democrats Sherrod Brown and Mark Udall did not participate in Monday's vote...

New amnesty scheme has taxpayer subsidized ObamaCars for illegals
Breitbart News has learned there is a provision included in the immigration bill that could be used to give free cars, motorcycles, scooters or other vehicles to young people around the country over a period of 15 months after the bill passes. The new provision is a result of the latest addition to the Corker-Hoeven amendment, which is essentially an entirely new version of the bill...

Marco Rubio for misleading law enforcement on promises of more interior enforcement...

Marco Rubio, we hardly knew ye
In the winter of 2010, Virginia national Republican committeeman Morton Blackwell, president of the Leadership Institute and key conservative power broker, stared down 50 of his friends on behalf of Marco Rubio. -- "I asked them to raise their hands," Blackwell recounts. Did they think Rubio's primary campaign against the liberal Republican Charlie Crist was one of the most important Senate races of the year? Yes. Were they impressed by Rubio? Definitely, yes..."

Scandal-plagued Globalist Obama: "Time for excuses on immigration is over"
Declaring "the time for excuses is over," President Barack Obama is trumpeting the economic benefits of an immigration overhaul, arguing that a bipartisan bill picking up steam in the Senate would put the nation's loathed deficits and fragile entitlements on better footing. -- A recent analysis from the Congressional Budget Office, lawmakers' nonpartisan scorekeeper, was Exhibit A in Obama's weekly radio and Internet address Saturday. The report shows deficits would fall nearly $1 trillion over two decades after the bill becomes law...

Illegals who commit crimes face lesser punishment than U.S. citizens
According to Sen. John McCain, a member of the Senate's Gang of Eight, criminals will not be legalized under the proposed bipartisan immigration bill. -- "Anyone who has committed crimes in this country is going to be deported," the Arizona Republican declared on the Senate floor last week. -- However, as Washington Examiner columnist Byron York recently reported, "the bottom line is an immigrant could have more than three misdemeanor convictions in his background check and still qualify for legalization."

White House offers stealth campaign to support destructive amnesty scheme
The hide-out has no sign on the door, but inside Dirksen 201 is a spare suite of offices the White House has transformed into its covert immigration war room on Capitol Hill. -- Strategically located down the hall from the Senate Judiciary Committee in one of the city's massive Congressional office buildings, the work space normally reserved for the vice president is now the hub of a stealthy legislative operation run by President Obama's staff. Their goal is to quietly secure passage of the first immigration overhaul in a quarter century...

Pro-amnesty fanatics target GOP lawmakers
Shouting slogans such as "Stop Deportations Now," about 50 supporters of comprehensive immigration reform walked from City Hall to U.S. Sen. John Cornyn's downtown office to ask him to help create a path to citizenship for about 11 million [illegal aliens]. -- The Texas Republican was in Washington as congressional sparring continued over a bill to overhaul the nation's immigration system. Cornyn has been one of the Senate's staunchest critics of the measure's citizenship provision...

Labor Department H-1B Enforcement: A paper tiger
One of the problems with the H-1B program, which brings low-paid, high-tech workers to the United States in the hundreds of thousands (and that would be dramatically expanded by the Schumer-Rubio bill now being debated in the Senate), is that there is a broad streak of fraud within it. -- It should be noted that even when the program runs as it is supposed to, it takes multitudinous jobs away from American workers and it reduces wages for all in its ambit...
