A Wolf in Sheep's Clothing
The Hidden Fight Over Illegal Immigration
American Patrol Report Opinion -- February 11
The Senate passed a stimulus bill has $9.6 billion in aid for (medical care for low income families). The house version has $11 billion. The House version has $7.9 billion for California's education system. .
The fight between the House and Senate is over whether California gets $18.9 billion for schools and health care, or $13.6 billion. And there is much more for California buried in the bill.
Illegal immigrants and their anchor baby children and this is probably a low estimate.
The billions of dollars earmarked for California are for ongoing operating expenses. They will continue forever.
Congress has no business assuming responsibility for the budgets of states. If it does, the federal government, namely Obama, can dictate state policy as never before.
There is no doubt that what is happening is a de facto amnesty. The U.S. government will assume responsibility for illegal aliens, thus blunting the impact on local taxpayers so they won't complain. They have done this for years in and now they are doing it for the entire state of California. Eventually they are going to do it for the rest of the nation, i.e., papering over the problem just long enough to reach a point of no return, thus requiring amnesty.
California must be allowed to fail so that the real reasons for its fiscal disaster can be exposed and dealt with.
The stimulus bill is a wolf in sheep's clothing; A clear power grab by Obama to advance his pet social theories. |
