| This photo shows tire tracks leading from Mexico to the U.S., in the San Pedro River riverbed. Very reliable sources told Glenn Spencer that two drive-through vehicles had crossed the border at this point in the last three days. -- Vehicle barriers that had blocked this route had been removed for the monsoon season. It ended Sept. 15. -- Other photos show where the border fence was opened to allow water to flow along washes. Question: Can the U.S. design a fence system that will not wash away? Why are these breaks in the fence still open after the Monsoon season is over in this part of the desert? |
