Armando Navarro makes some downright untruthful statements () when he claims there are only 3.5 million illegal aliens in the United States - even our census bureau admits to more than 8 million, and anyone who knows anything about the problem will tell you that's a gross undercount. He states that the only crime they commit by coming illegally to the United States is to escape the horrors of poverty and to seek a better life - baloney! He knows better than that! The law says that illegal entry is misdemeanor on first conviction and can be prosecuted as a felony crime for a second offense (Title 8, USC, Section 1325). We are either a nation that abides by the rule of law, or not! Which is it? Where are our gutless politicians on this issue? Why are they spending more time courting Vicente Fox than representing the people who elected them to office. This is the most under-reported national scandal in the history of our nation and nobody in the government, with rare exceptions, has the courage to stand against it.
